Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical and engineering expertise across various projects, contributing to the design, analysis, and execution of electrical engineering solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, with potential for leadership responsibilities in specific areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Analysis

  • Develop and deliver high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements.

  • Create and maintain detailed schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

  • Produce in-depth technical studies and reports to support engineering decisions.

• Software Modelling and Specifications

  • Utilise advanced software tools to model and simulate electrical systems.

  • Prepare and manage technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems.

• Specialist Contributions

  • Lead or contribute to Low Voltage (LV) design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

  • Perform electrical engineering studies, including but not limited to:

    • Fault Level Analysis

    • Protection Coordination Studies

    • Cable Sizing and Calculations

    • Arc Flash and Arc Energy Calculations

    • Earthing Studies

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Requirements:

  • A minimum HNC or degree in Electrical Power Engineering.

• Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.

  • Demonstrable experience in LV design and related studies.

  • Proficiency in engineering software for design, simulation, and analysis.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have a permanent right to live and work in the UK.
